Michigan surges ahead

After a dismal third quarter, Michigan has found its way again with a Vincent Smith seven-yard touchdown run with 6:29 left in the game.

Michigan leads San Diego State, 28-7.

San Diego State, on the previous drive, failed again on its second fourth-down attempt of the game, giving the ball on downs to Michigan.

Quarterback Denard Robinson, struggling in the passing game today with two interceptions, sprinted 30 yards deep into San Diego State territory.

Smith capped the drive with his touchdown run.
