Former Michigan State guard Durrell Summers was drafted in the second round of the NBDL Draft on Thursday by the Maine Red Claws.
His wasn’t the only interesting name that came up in the eight-round draft. Former Spartan Travis Walton went in the third round to the Bakersfield Jam and was joined by former Minnesota guard Lawrence Westbrook.
Jamaal Tinsley went No. 1 overall to the Los Angeles D-Fenders and Bay City’s Eric Devendorf went to the Idaho Stampede.
It’s good news for Summers who had an awful senior season at Michigan State. Hopefully he discovers his shooting touch and uses this opportunity to spark his career.
