Greenwood of Albion College plays in Shrine Game today

It’s rare when a Division III player gets the opportunity to showcase his talent in the East-West Shrine Game.
Albion College cornerback Chris Greenwood gets that chance this afternoon in Tampa when he wears No. 27 for the West team coached by former Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress at Tropicana Field.
While Greenwood plays in the MIAA for league champion Albion, he has Division 1 ability, size and speed. He is 6-foot-2, 196 pounds and runs a 4.38 40.
“I just want to show I can compete against higher competition,” said Greenwood who played his high school ball at Detroit King. “I’m definitely excited with the opportunity. My size helps a lot, especially with so many bigger receivers who can go up for the jump ball pass. My size gives me the ability to defend them.”
Greenwood said every NFL team has had scouts watching him either in a game or at practice during the past season. He is hoping for a chance to play in the NFL and that is why today’s game is such a big opportunity for him.
The NFL Network will televise the game at 4 p.m.
