Will former Michigan assistants get coordinator jobs at Iowa?

Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz is expected to have a news conference on Wednesday to name his defensive coordinator, but he also has to hire an offensive coordinator after Ken O’Keefe resigned last week to take a job with the Miami Dolphins.
There is some speculation that former Michigan player and defensive coordinator Jim Herrmann, linebackers coach with the N.Y. Giants, might replace Norm Parker, who retired after the season.
Mike Hlas from the Cedar Rapids Gazette, however, spoke to Herrmann before the Super Bowl, and Herrmann said last Thursday he had not spoken to anyone at Iowa.
Herrmann was defensive coordinator under Lloyd Carr for nine seasons.
There’s also speculation that Erik Campbell, also a former Michigan player and assistant coach, could be in the running for the offensive coordinator vacancy. Campbell’s name was among the Gazette’s list of potential candidates.
