MSU-SLU having trouble hitting shots

Michigan State is 4-for-13 from the field and Saint Louis is just 1-for-9 as Michigan State holds a 9-6 lead with 11:48 to play in the first half.

The Spartans have turned the ball over three times and the Billikens have coughed it up twice.

An interesting dynamic early — SLU fans are fired up they’re only down three, MSU fans trying to spark their team.

This is just what SLU wants — slow-paced, ugly basketball.
