Michigan State running out of time, trails 46-38

With just under four minutes left, time is running out for Michigan State, which trails Louisville 46-38 in tonight’s West Regional semifinal in Phoenix, Ariz.

Brandon Wood hit back-to-back buckets for the Spartans to cut the deficit from 13 to eight, but Derrick Nix came back down and proceeded to get eaten alive again by Gorgui Dieng, who has been dominating the Spartans inside all night long.

Although this is just an eight-point deficit, it might as well be a 20-point deficit the way MSU has played and is shooting the ball tonight (the Spartans have had multiple five-minute stretches without a field goal in this game).

A comeback isn’t looking likely here.
