With 7:49 to play, Michigan State is on the verge of becoming the first No. 1 seed eliminated from the 2012 NCAA Tournament , trailing Louisville 42-31 in Phoenix, Ariz.
After Louisville went up 35-25, the Spartans went on a 6-0 run to pull it within four, but then proceeded to hand Louisville the ball on multiple occasions and wound up down 11. MSU has seven turnovers in the second half alone now and has made just four field goals.
MSU is 3-of-14 from deep while Louisville is 8-for-21.
Draymond Green might be 5-of-14 from the field, but he’s the only Spartan to make more than one field goal on the night. He has another double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
