Preview magazines have wide-ranging rankings for Michigan

The college football preseason magazine polls are starting to appear, and Michigan is all over the place.
Phil Steele’s magazine has the Wolverines, 11-2 last season but with significant losses on the defensive and offensive line, at No. 22, while Athlon has the Wolverines ranked No. 7.
Here’s Athlon’s overall take: “There’s a lot to like about the Wolverines. They’ve got two potential Heisman Trophy candidates in (Denard) Robinson and (Fitz) Toussaint and depth in their defensive backfield for the first time in ages. Their biggest obstacle in 2012 might be a murderous schedule, one that includes a neutral-site opener against defending national champ Alabama and road trips to South Bend, Lincoln and Columbus.”
