Taylor Lewan is taking the right approach to the rumblings that this could be his last season at Michigan. Lewan is the Wolverines’ starting left tackle and has two years of eligibility remaining.
He said recently during the Big Ten meetings in Chicago that he has been receiving calls from phone numbers he doesn’t recognize and suspects they are from agents and others with potential ties to his NFL future.
He said he is ignoring those calls and the talk of his NFL future.
Lewan said he is reading legendary former Michigan coach Bo Schembechler’s book, “Bo’s Lasting Lessons” written with John Bacon.
“In his book he says if you just focus on your job right not to the best of your abilities, other jobs will come,” Lewan said. “That’s what I’m trying to do right now, focus on Michigan, Team 133 and leading.”
