MSU fans can "Meet the Spartans"

Michigan State’s 10th Annual “Meet the Spartans” event is scheduled for Tuesday in downtown East Lansing. It will run from 5:15-7:25 p.m. and feature head coach Mark Dantonio and members of the 2012 football team available for autographs in parking lots on Albert Avenue between Abbot Road and MAC Avenue.

Offensive players will be available for autographs from approximately 5:15-6:15 p.m. and defensive players from approximately 6:25-7:25 p.m. Dantonio, who will be available for autographs from 5:15-7:25 p.m., will take a brief break at 6:15 p.m. to address the crowd and to introduce members of the senior class.

The MSU cheerleaders and dance team will help distribute free schedule posters and assist in face painting. Children also will have the opportunity to meet Sparty and pose for photos with the mascot. Fans also will have the chance to pose for pictures with Michigan State’s 2011 Big Ten Legends Division Championship and 2012 Outback Bowl Championship trophies.

Fans are limited to one autographed item per person, and requests for photos with players or coaches cannot be accommodated.
