MSU closes half with FG from Conroy

Michigan State got one more crack at the end zone late in the first half when Johnny Adams intercepted a Ryan Radcliff pass and Michigan State took over at the Central  Michigan 49.

Andrew Maxwell hit Bennie Fowler for a 37-yard gain, but the Spartans failed to get in the end zone from the CMU 12. On first down, a pass hit Fowler’s finger tips in the end zone and on second down, Maxwell didn’t see a wide-open Tony Lippett. On third down, Maxwell and Dion Sims couldn’t hook up and the Spartans settled for a 29-yard field goal to head to the half with a 24-0 lead.

Maxwell is 17-for-28 for 213 yards and a touchdown in the first half while Le’Veon Bell has 15 carries for 60 yards.
