This is no typical game at Kelly/Shorts stadium.
Sure, there have been some pretty big games with plenty at stake, but none with the type of buzz this one has as Michigan State plays here for the first time.
Central Michigan has the history of upsetting Michigan State and will likely ride the wave of emotion that is prevalent in town today, but that will only last so long. Michigan State is simply too much for CMU at this point.
Some roster notes for Michigan State: Freshman wide receiver Aaron Burbridge is dressed and going through warm-ups, as is fellow freshman Macgarrett Kings. Burbridge drew plenty of praise this week and it will be interesting to see if he sees the field today. I would bet it’s less likely for Kings even though the wide receivers must show significant improvement from last week.
Also, backup tackle Skyler Burkland is dressed and should be available. Will be interesting to note if he plays if the game gets out of hand or they will play it safe with his hand inury.
Safety Demetrious Cox and long-snapper Taybor Pepper the other two true freshmen dressed today, joining Burbridge and Kings.
