It took Michigan two plays to score again against UMass.
Tailback Vincent Smith ran five yards for a touchdown to give the Wolverines a 21-3 lead in the second quarter. On the first play of the series, quarterback Denard Robinson hit Drew Dileo for a 66-yard completion.
Robinson, who so far is 6-of-9 for 147 yards against UMass, now has 5,486 career passing yards. In the first quarter, he moved past Tom Brady, and with the completion to Dileo, he moved ahead of Jim Harbaugh on Michigan’s all-time passing list.
