Closing in on an hour to kickoff here at Spartan Stadium and the excitement makes last week at Central Michigan look like a preseason game.
Prime time will do that as Michigan State plays its second straight home game under the lights.
Much rumor and speculation swirled in the last two days over possible suspensions and injuries for the Spartans. The suspension rumors never had any fact behind them and seem to be confirmed as silly since tight end Dion Sims is dressed and getting ready to play.
Injuries could be another issue. Right tackle Fou Fonoti is also on the dress list but was not spotted on the team’s walk to the stadium.
It all should be answered in a little more than an hour as the teams hit the field. If Fonoti doesn’t go, sophomore Skyler Burkland should slide in after playing part-time last week against the Chippewas.
