Notre Dame strikes first against MSU

After each offense did nothing on their first drives, Notre Dame took advantage of good field position to get on the board first.

Quarterback Everett Golson rolled right and threw back across the field to John Goodman, who won the jump ball with Michigan State’s Johnny Adams to haul in a 36-yard touchdown pass.

The Spartans put no pressure on Golson and Adams was also flagged for pass interference on the play. The first-year quarterback has yet to be pressured as MSU’s defense gives up its first touchdown of the season.
