Denard Robinson wanted to throw on third down and nine, but he finally relied on his feet to make things happen.
Robinson ran 36 yards for a touchdown, giving Michigan a 35-10 lead over UMass with less than four minutes left in the first half.
Robinson has now thrown for 207 yards and two touchdowns and run for 92 and a score.
