Michigan missed a huge opportunity in the first quarter after the Wolverines earned their first interception of the season.
Raymon Taylor, a sophomore cornerback, got the interception of Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson’s pass, and with a facemask, got the ball at the Irish 10-yard line.
But Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson took two sacks, pushing U-M to the Notre Dame 27-yard line. Brendan Gibbons’ 43-yard field goal attempt missed right.
It remains 0-0 at Notre Dame Stadium.
