Michigan State extends lead with long drive

Michigan State might have put the game away with a 12-play, 89-yard drive that ended with a 10-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Maxwell to Dion Sims.

The Spartans took the 16-7 lead with their best drive in nearly two weeks. The last touchdown the Spartans scored was two weeks ago at Central Michigan when Nick Hill ran in from 1 yard out with 9:39 to play in the fourth quarter.
