Conroy boots 51-yarder, MSU cuts into OSU lead

Michigan State got the ball to open the second half and marched right down the field behind some solid play from quarterback Andrew Maxwell.

But drops hurt again and a key illegal formation penalty forced the Spartans to settle for a field-goal chance.

Dan Conroy nailed one from 51 yards out to cut Ohio State’s lead to 7-6 with 11:04 left in the third quarter.
