After a brief injury scare involving Michigan senior quarterback Denard Robinson, the Wolverines are back on track.
Robinson, who was briefly replaced by backup Russ Bellomy after leaving the game with an apparent injury to his right wrist, directed a scoring drive that culminated with his six-yard scoring run with 4:41 left in the first half.
Michigan leads Illinois, 17-0.
The drive included a 33-yard run by Robinson.
Robinson is 3-of-4 passing for 110 yards and he has rushed for 60 yards on 10 carries.
Michigan is clearly looking for a way to jumpstart its running game, which has struggled — with the exception of Robinson’s production — much of this season. Fitz Toussaint, Thomas Rawls, Justice Hayes and freshman Dennis Norfleet have had carries today
