Michigan has built a 10-0 lead over Illinois in a steady rain, but that advantage has come at a cost.
Senior quarterback Denard Robinson left the game late on the last scoring drive with an apparent injury to his right wrist. Robinson, who remains on the sideline definitely favoring the wrist, was replaced by Russ Bellomy.
Michigan reached the Illinois 1-yard line on Robinson’s run, but the Wolverines could not punch it in and settled for an 18-yard field goal by Brendan Gibbons.
