Michigan State’s defense has dominated throughout the first half, going three-and-out on four straight series.
The Spartans offense took advantage midway through the second quarter, going 52 yards in seven plays and capping it off with a 24-yard field goal from Dan Conroy to go up 10-0 with 9:13 left in the second quarter.
Freshman wide receiver Aaron Burbridge had the big play on the drive, a 38-yard pass from Andrew Maxwell that set the Spartans up inside the Iowa 20.
MichiganState is outgaining Iowa, 107-29.
