Rainy day on tap at Michigan State

The rain is falling steadily at Spartan Stadium today, promising a difficult day for Michigan State and Iowa.

Michigan State is trying to bounce back from a sloppy performance at Indiana last week and will do it against an Iowa offense that ranks near the bottom of the Big Ten.

There are some changes to Michigan State’s lineup today. Junior safety Jairus Jones will not play after getting banged up last week at Indiana. Sophomore Kurtis Drummond and redshirt freshman RJ Williamson will split time at free safety.

Tight end Dion Sims will not play after hurting his left ankle against Indiana. There was some thought it could heal enough during the week, but he will not dress.
