Michigan hopes to return Paul Bunyan Trophy to Ann Arbor

There is a large, empty area in the “MSU Rivalry’ display case in the Schembechler Hall museum.

It has been empty for the last four years.

And that makes Michigan’s long-time equipment manager Jon Falk very sad.

“I miss Paul,” Falk said recently.

He is, of course, referring to the Paul Bunyan Trophy, which goes to the winner of the annual Michigan-Michigan State football game.

Paul has been in the MSU football building during the Spartans’ four-game winning streak.
