Michigan has snapped a four-game losing streak against in-state rival Michigan State.
Kicker Brendan Gibbons made a 38-yard field goal with five seconds left for the 12-10 victory on Saturday at Michigan Stadium.
“He kept his mind right,” U-M receiver Jeremy Gallon told the U-M radio network referring to Gibbons. “He made a clutch field goal.”
This was the 900th career victory in the history of Michigan football.
Michigan, ranked No. 23, is 5-2, 3-0 Big Ten. Michigan State is 4-4, 1-3.
