Michigan State, Michigan set to rekindle rivalry

Michigan State has changed up its look today, sporting new HydroChrome helmets.

Michigan is trying to change up the result in the series that has gone Michigan State’s way the last four years.

Kickoff is less than an hour away and both teams are going through warm-ups at Michigan Stadium.

Michigan State tight end Dion Sims, who was questionable this week with an ankle injury, has been taking part in warm-ups and appears ready to play. The Spartans could certainly use the big tight end after managing to score only one touchdown in last week’s loss to Iowa in double-overtime.

Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson is hoping to end his own personal skid against the Spartans while continuing to work his way up the Michigan record books.

With 146 yards rushing today, he would pass Tyrone Wheatley for fourth in all-time rushing yards. One more touchdown would move him ahead of Mike Hart for third place in rushing touchdowns.
