Wisconsin takes advantage of fumble to extend lead

Michigan State’s Lawrence Thomas fumbled deep in Spartans territory and Wisconsin took advantage by extending its leads on a 39-yard field goal by Kyle French.

Thomas caught a pass and was  hit by Wisconsin’s Marcus Cromartie and lost the ball. Wisconsin’s Warren Herring recovered.

The Michigan State defense held again, forcing the field goal, but with the offense’s performance, odds are not good the Spartans can come up with the tying touchdown.
