Michigan junior left tackle Taylor Lewan hasn’t revealed whether he will leave the Wolverines after this season for a shot at the NFL, but according to the latest “Big Board” rankings from ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper, Lewan’s stock is improving.
Lewan is up two spots to No. 13 on Kiper’s NFL Draft prospects. ESPN analyst Todd McShay ranks Lewan at No. 31 and recently said on a conference call he considers the Michigan tackle a second-round prospect.
Kiper offered considerable praise for Lewan on ESPN.com
“Elite athleticism for the position; has great length and the ability to really move,” Kiper wrote. “Could get more credit for his power as a run-blocker; his long frame probably gets him typecast as a pass-blocker first.”
