Michigan State, Nebraska tied at halftime

A back-and-forth first half ended with the clock running and Michigan State holding a timeout.

Nebraska was facing a fourth down at its 32, but instead of stopping the clock and going after the punt, the Spartans allowed the clock to expire.

Michigan State’s offense was much better in the first half than it has been most weeks this season. Le’Veon Bell has carried 14 times for 105 yards and has an 11-yard touchdown. Quarterback Andrew Maxwell is only 6-for-14 for 89 yard, but he hit Tony Lippett with a 46-yard touchdown pass late in the second quarter.

Nebraska quarterback Taylor Martinez has run for 156 yards, including a 71-yard touchdown run to tie the game late in the second quarter.
