Lippett scores to draw Michigan State even with Northwestern

Michigan State’s offense finally took advantage of some outstanding defense.

The Spartans forced three straight three-and-outs and each time gave the offense great field position.

Michigan State went 60 yards in nine plays to tie the game, 20-20, with 9:22 to play in the game.

Andrew Maxwell hit Tony Lippett for a 6-yard touchdown and Dan Conroy hit the extra point.
