Michigan thought twice about attempting a field goal on its most recent possesion.
The Wolverines went for it on fourth and one from the Iowa 1-yard line and quarterback Devin Gardner scored to give the Wolverines a 21-10 lead. Gardner is 7-of-9 passing for 123 yards, including in that drive a 51-yard pass to Jeremy Gallon.
Denard Robinson, the Wolverines’ quarterback the last three seasons who has been sidelined the previous two and a half games, started this game at tailback. he has 72 yards on seven carries.
Michigan is 5-of-6 on third down and converted its only fourth-down attempt.
