Former U-M lineman gets Big Ten leadership award

Former Michigan offensive lineman Jon Runyan is the recipient of the Big Ten Ford-Kinnick Leadership Award, given to a Big Ten football player who demonstrates leadership in his post-collegiate career. Runyan, a first-team All-Big Ten tackle in 1995, is a U.S. Congressional representative from New Jersey. The award is named for Michigan’s Gerald Ford and Iowa’s Nile Kinnick.
