Michigan State likely put the game away, riding its horse the whole way.
Junior running back Le’Veon Bell scored on an 8-yard run to put the Spartans up 26-10 with 7:25 to play. In the process, he eclipsed his career-best rushing game with 254 yards. He had 253 against Eastern Michigan.
Bell is now the third-best single-season rusher in Michigan State history, trailing Javon Ringer by a yard.
