TCU in control over Michigan State at halftime

Essentially nothing went well for Michigan State in the first half against TCU.

The Horned Frogs are outgaining the Spartans 204-76 while the Spartans have picked up just three first downs.

Quarterback Andrew Maxwell is just 6-for-13 and has almost been intercepted three times. Le’Veon Bell has been held to 38 yards on 11 carries. The Spartans have also committed four penalties for 47 yards.

Michigan State must hope  a second-half surge exists, much like it had last season against Georgia in the Outback Bowl when it overcame a 16-0 halftime deficit to win 33-30 in overtime.

TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin is just 6-for-14 but has thrown for 136 yards, including a 61-yarder and a 59-yarder.
