TCU takes early lead over Michigan State

Michigan State’s offense has gotten no better since finishing the regular season, going three-and-out on its first two drives.

TCU took advantage by taking its second drive 73 yards and capping it off with a 4-yard touchdown run from Matthew Tucker to take a 7-0 lead with 5:45 left in the first quarter.

A pass interference call on third-and-5 on Michigan State’s Kurtis Drummond kept the drive going and the Horned Frogs cashed in by pounding away at the Spartans on the ground.

Now we’ll see if Michigan State can get out of its own way on offense.
