Michigan State keeping it close at Minnesota

Minnesota looked like it was going to break things open, taking a 25-16 lead midway through the first half, but Michigan State has fought back.

Two quick 3-pointers, one from Denzel Valentine and the other from Gary Harris, have cut the Minnesota margin to 27-23 with 6:32 to play in the half.

A charging call on Keith Appling negated what would have been a Branden Dawson dunk headed to the timeout.
