Michigan's Wile adds 52-yard field goal

Michigan answered South Carolina’s last possession — a missed field goal — with a made field goal.

Matt Wile, who handles long field-goal attempts for the Wolverines, has made a 52-yard field goal with 6:54 left in the third quarter. South Carolina leads, 21-16, but has not yet scored in the second half.

On the Michigan scoring drive, however, starting left tackle Taylor Lewan appears to have suffered an injury to his left leg. He missed the rest of the series and, helmet off, was limping on the sideline. Michael Schofield moved from right tackle to left tackle, Joey Buryzynski moved to right guard, and Patrick Omameh, who usually plays right guard, moved to right tackle.

Michigan radio has reported that Lewan is suffering from cramps and is expected to return.
