After trailing by double digits for most of the first half, Michigan whittled Ohio State’s advantage to 37-29 after a putback by Mitch McGary. U-M trailed by as many as 21 in the first half but has chipped away steadily, getting it to 12 at halftime.
The crowd at Value City Arena has quieted down and was a little uneasy after McGary’s make. Michigan has used the 2-3 and 1-3-1 zones to try to slow down Ohio State’s looks at the basket, which has helped during the run.
