It almost seems like yesterday when Detroit led this game 21-19 with nine minutes left in the first half. It just got out of hand in the second half. Detroit trailed 34-24 at halftime and never regained any type of momentum in the final 20 minutes.

Assistant coach Jay Smith put his hands over his face and shook his head. His Detroit team just doesn’t have an answer for Kansas as Detroit hasn’t scored in nearly six minutes and trails 63-45.
