The grass is greening, the chill in the air is suddenly bearable, $9 beers are back!
The baseball season arrives this week — Thursday for the Tigers, who open against CC Sabathia and Yankees in New York.
Also returning this week is The Detroit News Tigers Over-Under Contest. Last year, Livonia’s Grant Dossetto beat out 154 other Tigers fans, and took home a pretty sweet prize. This year, it could be you!
It’s so simple to enter. Just follow this link, and make your over-under picks on 35 prop bets, created by yours truly. Be sure to leave your name, number, e-mail address, and your prediction for the Tigers’ 2011 record (that’s the tiebreaker). The deadline to enter is noon Friday, April 8, Opening Day in Detroit.
Again this year, winners will be rewarded with baseball-related prizes. (We won’t disappoint you!) The more entries, the more prizes we’ll hand out. Let’s try to pass last year’s impressive first-year total, eh?
