One unforgettable play aside, Ryan Raburn has looked like a hot dog most of the time in left field this season.
Now, you can start stuffing your face with hot dogs every time Raburn hits one over the fence (with his bat).
The Tigers announced Thursday that for each Raburn hits a home run in 2011, A&W, the next day, will sell coney dogs for 25 cents (in honor of Raburn’s No. 25).
There’s a limit of five 25-cent dogs per customer, per visit.
Raburn has only three home runs this season, but expect that number to skyrocket soon. His power numbers typically park up as the season progresses.
In more Tigers news Thursday, FSD’s Mario Impemba announced he once again will be providing a DVD of the home opener, “Operation Opening Day,” for active armed-service members, as well as their friends and families.
Those interested can visit tigers.com/operationopeningday. Quantities are limited, so act fast.
