If you’re itching to hang onto Michigan’s summer for just a little longer, check out some of the festivals happening around Metro Detroit this weekend.
Arts, Beats and Eats is happening in downtown Royal Oak. The annual festival should be no disappointment, and Royal Oak is a great place to spend the day.
Downtown Detroit will also host this year’s Jazz Fest. Artistic director Chris Collins’ vision for the weekend is to echo Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s thoughts, “Jazz Speaks for Life.” Hang out downtown, enjoy some tunes and take in all Detroit has to offer.
And the iconic Michigan State Fair is setting up shop at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. State fairs are fun tradition. A few of highlights at this year’s are the Craft Beer Pavilion, a farmers’ market, and a baby animal exhibit (because who doesn’t like baby animals + beer!)
