Detroit Design Festival happening now

Manufacturing has long been a part of Detroit’s history. Manufacturing and design pretty much built this city, and there’s the potential for it to rebuild it now.

Detroit Design Festival is talking about this and much more – all week (you can find a full schedule of events here).

If you have time to attend one of their exhibits or panels, it’s well worth your while. Even better if you can make it to Eastern Market After Dark tonight. There will be 30+ venues opening their doors to 3,000+ patrons, including exclusive peeks into the studios, workshops, galleries and more that make up the diverse collective of Detroit businesses and creative hubs.

The week wraps up with DLECTRICITY on Saturday evening. The nighttime art and light festival will feature over 35 world-renowned and emerging artists whose cutting-edge light displays will illuminate Midtown Detroit, from the Detroit Institute of Arts down to the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

It’s another fun and dynamic week in Detroit. Don’t miss it!
