Wheelhouse Detroit opens Campus Martius location

If you’re at or around Campus Martius Park and want to go for a bike ride, you now have another option for rental. Wheelhouse Detroit bike shop opened a booth in the park last Wednesday, May 20, becoming the second rental option around the park alongside Zagster. The booth, which will stay open through the end of the summer, has three speed cruisers for rent.

“It’s a great way to see the city, and a great way to get exercise,” said the owner of Wheelhouse Detroit, Kelli Kavanaugh.

The booth is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. through 5 p.m. on Sundays. After showing valid ID and paying a deposit, bikes can be rented for two hours ($15), four hours ($25), or a full day ($35).

Every bike comes with a basket, water bottle holder, and lock. Additionally, bikes are adjusted be comfortable for the renter.
