Take-Two announces 'Grand Theft Auto V'

The Associated Press has some details on the latest version of “Grand Theft Auto,” currently in development from Take-Two and its RockStar North studio:

Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. said Thursday that “Grand Theft Auto V” will be set in the city of Los Santos. That means the game is back in its fictional Southern California setting. That’s where the blockbuster “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas,” which launched in 2004, took place as well.

With the most recent game, 2008’s “Grand Theft Auto IV,” Rockstar took players to Liberty City, a fictional take on New York.

Take-Two says more than 114 million “GTA” games have been sold worldwide. The company has not set a launch date for the new title.

The trailer above is fairly innocuous.
