OK, this week’s give away isn’t particularly attuned to the holidays, but I wanted to get it in a luck reader’s hand.
Syfy’s “Being Human” remake returns for a new season Jan. 16 (see teaser below), so you can get all caught up with season one if you win this week’s giveaway.
I’ve got the first season on Blu-ray for a lucky reader who is reading this column, perhaps while on vacation for the holiday.
Even when it started as a British show, I always thought the premise sounded like a great joke set-up: A vampire, and werewolf and a ghost rent a house. But while it does have some moments of humor, this is a serious, and seriously good, drama. I liked it far better than I was expecting to, and I imagine that’s in large part because of the talented (and sexy, each in their own way) cast of Sam Witwer (“Smallville”), Meaghan Rath (“The Assistants”) and Sam Huntington (“Cavemen,” making this a major step up even if there’s still a lot of extra hair involved).
