'Young Justice' game coming for multiple platforms

They’re not saying much yet, but there’s a “Young Justice” video game on the way, “Young Justice: Legacy.”

The Cartoon Network series returns with new episodes March 3 as part of the new “DC Nation” block of programming that will include several shorts and the new “Green Lantern” series. But we’ll have to wait until next year to see the game, which will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and Nintendo DS (no Vita?!).

Here’s the official description:

“In ‘Young Justice: Legacy’ fans can look forward to an original storyline set in between Seasons 1 and 2 of the television series, written in collaboration with show writers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti.  The game is packed with fan favorite playable characters, cameo appearances by popular Justice League heroes and villains, and includes online multiplayer as well as local multiplayer modes.”

There will be 12 playable characters, so time to start guessing who it will be besides Superboy, Robin, Aqualad, Miss Martian, Artemis and Kid Flash. Zatanna? Red Tornado? Dare I hope Aquaman?

It’s a great cartoon. I hope Little Orbit gives us a great video game.
