Win 'Redakai: Conquer the Kairu' DVD

As long as they keep cranking out trading card games, I imagine they’ll keep cranking out anime series to go with them.

One of the latest is “Redakai: Conquer the Kairu,” which airs on Cartoon Network. It comes from the “Bakugan Battle Brawlers” folks. I haven’t watched it, so here’s the official description:

“Based on the innovative trading card game of the same name, ‘Redakai: Conquer the Kairu’ is a treasure hunt pitting teen Kairu fighters against each other — on a journey that crisscrosses the planet, with fantastic locales and untold dangers waiting around every corner. In this action-packed odyssey, viewers will follow Ky, a 15-year-old student of ancient martial arts, who embarks on an incredible pursuit to find the Kairu, a primordial alien energy force. Helped by his friends Maya and Boomer, Ky travels the globe looking for the Kairu to protect it from Lokar and his E-Teens, with the hope that one day he will become the greatest Kairu warrior of them all — a Redakai.”

The first DVD from the show came out this week, subtitled “The Journey Begins.” It contains 13 episodes on two discs. And for those who do play, the DVD includes a BLAST3D card featuring a never-before-released version of Harrier. I’ve got a copy to give away.

For your chance to win, send your name and address to ehenrickson@detnews.com. Use “Redakai” as your subject line, and enter only once by March 9. U.S. entries only.
