Win 'The Phantom Menace' visual dictionary

I don’t know about you, but I’m still trying to wrap my head around the announcement that Disney bought Lucasfilm and will be producing new movies.

What does that mean? Hidden Mickeys in the background? Princess Leia joining the Disney Princess line? Jabba the Hutt hanging out with Cruella de Vil? Ursula the Sea Witch taking out Jar Jar Binks? (There’s a voice that deserves to be silenced.)

And on the video front, will we finally see a legitimate release of the Christmas special? Is Lucas finally finished tinkering?

The part I’ve enjoyed most is seeing all the photo memes on Facebook. Favorites include the Mickey-eared sun over Tatooine and “Andy” scratched onto the bottom of Han Solo’s boot.

In honor of the deal, this week’s giveaway is “The Phantom Menace: The Expanded Visual Dictionary,” one of DK publishers’ awesome collections. It’s filled with tons of photos and tidbits on everything from the grass to spaceships, including characters, alien races, languages and more.

For your chance to win, send your name and address to ehenrickson@detnews.com. Use “Star Wars” as your subject line, and enter only once by Nov. 9.  U.S. entries only.

And for fun, feel free to include your worst-case scenario on where this merger could lead. I’ll run my favorites in a future blog post.

May the Force be with you!
