UPDATE: With a much needed photo-caption fix.
I didn’t make it to Youmacon this year, but from what I hear was the length of the line to get in on Friday, it could probably be called a success.

No-Face from “Spirited Away” (Patty Hammond)
We had a photographer out there Sunday, who snapped a bunch of great photos. It looks like even the off-genre cosplayers were prolific, which just goes to show how great and cross-geeky anime and manga fans are.
This year’s con spread from the Renaissance Center to Cobo Center, so I imagine the sights on the street were a lot of fun for unsuspecting drivers. Now Detroiters now a bit more what San Diego residents feel like around San Diego Comic Con.
Longtime Geek Watch reader Patty Hammond was only able to make it Friday, but the line was so long even for those who had preregistered, I don’t think she got much done, so no con report. She was able to send me this photo of a great No-Face, though.
